Internal Security Challenges Group chairman V K Duggal on Wednesday reviewed the security situation in Andhra Pradesh.
The former Home Secretary held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the state government, and other agencies, to assess the security.
The meeting was attended by Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy, Chief Security Pankaj Dwivedi, Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy, and officials representing the Coast Guard, the Air Force and other security agencies.
Later, Duggal told reporters that several issues related to internal security in AP, including left-wing extremism and terrorism, were discussed during the meeting.
Duggal, along with his 6-member team, is also learnt to have reviewed the functioning of OCTOPUS in Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, Duggal called upon Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office at Begumpet. (INN)
