US Consul-General Travels By Hyderabad Metro
Consul-General of the US Consulate in Hyderabad Katherine Hadda travelled along with N V S Reddy, MD, Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMRL), from Rasoolpura to Mettuguda.

Katherine B Hadda, Consul-General of the US Consulate in Hyderabad, travelled by the metro today along with N V S Reddy, MD, Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMRL), from Rasoolpura to Mettuguda.
The MD showed the US diplomat the different facilities available at the metro stations, street-level works being carried out at the various metro stops, and the state-of-the-art user-friendly systems available in the trains.
He also explained to her the unique financial model that the HMRL had taken up, and the various engineering and financial innovations developed for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project which he said was currently the world's largest metro project in the Public And Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Appreciating the bold initiative taken in building a metro rail project of such magnitude in the PPP mode, and the world class facilities available at the stations, the Consul-General said that she was delighted to experience the "beautiful" service. It was a great addition to the growing and vibrant city that was Hyderabad, she added.
Akash Suri, Assistant Public Affairs Officer, US Consulate, and A Balakrishna, DCP, Hyderabad Metro Rail, also accompanied the Consul-General on her trip.
