Under the new fare structure, the minimum fare is Rs 11 and the maximum fare is Rs 69:
- For commutes of up to 2 km, the fare has been reduced from Rs 12 to Rs 11
- For 2 to 3 km, from Rs 18 to Rs 17
- For 4 to 6 km, from Rs 30 to Rs 28
- For 6 to 9 km, from Rs 40 to Rs 37
- For 9 to 12 km, from Rs 50 to Rs 47
- For 12 to 15 km, from Rs 55 to Rs 51
- For 15 to 18 km, from Rs 60 to Rs 56
- For 18 to 21 km, from Rs 66 to Rs 61
- For 21 to 24 km, from Rs 70 to Rs 65
- For travel beyond 24 km, from Rs 75 to Rs 69
With the monsoons approaching more people are likely to choose the Metro for a safe, comfortable and weatherproof mode of transport, and these fare reductions are expected to benefit them.
