The Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) today announced that it would revise fares for all its services in the twin cities from May 17.
In a statement, L&T Metro Rail said that the Fare Fixation Committee of the HMR recommended the revised fare structure after evaluating both affordability of the service for passengers and the financial sustainability of the company.
As part of the revision, the minimum fare will increase from Rs 10 to Rs 12, and the maximum fare will rise from Rs 60 to Rs 75.
The HMR expressed its gratitude to the passengers for their continued support and urged them to accept the revised fare structure, saying that it was essential for the maintenance and enhancement of services.
The revised fare structure is as follows:
- Up to 2 km: Rs 12 - More than 2 km and up to 4 km: Rs 18 - More than 4 km and up to 6 km: Rs 30 - More than 6 km and up to 9 km: Rs 40 - More than 9 km and up to 12 km: Rs 50 - More than 12 km and up to 15 km: Rs 55 - More than 15 km and up to 18 km: Rs 60 - More than 18 km and up to 21 km: Rs 66 - More than 21 km and up to 24 km: Rs 70 - More than 24 km: Rs 75
