Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday, congratulated Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav, on the successful and record performance of his party in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Talking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Naidu said the TDP and the Samajwadi Party have shared a common mission and goal in public life - that to eliminate the corrupt Congress party and to protect the democratic and constitutional institutions in the state.
He said that he had interacted with Mulayam Singh Yadav on several occasions in the pursuit of national goals of unity of regional parties and to catapult them into dominant national role.
"Regional parties - the Samajwadi Party and the TDP - now have a major responsibility to uphold the people's aspirations for stability and development," he added. (INN)
