Hyderabad | 27th January 2016
Interim Vice-Chancellor Vipin Srivastava of the University Of Hyderabad (Hyderabad Central University) faced an embarrassing situation when he visited the students' agitation camp on the campus on Wednesday.

Obstructing the VC, the students raised slogans of "VC Go Back". At one point, the students tried to attack the VC's car. The police and the UOH security personnel then sent Srivastava away from the location of the agitation camp.

Meanwhile, the SC-ST Teachers' Forum announced that its members would go on a hunger strike extending support to the striking students if the University authorities failed to meet the demands of the students.

The HCU Student JAC, too, made it clear that it would not withdraw the agitation till the problems were solved. It also revealed that its members would meet President Pranabh Mukherjee in the first week of February to submit a memorandum on the problems.
