Two More IPS Officers Test Positive For Covid In City

The coronavirus has become a cause of concern for the Telangana police department.

In a fresh development, two more IPS officers of the state have tested positive for the virus.

The two officers have gone into home quarantine following the test results.

One more IPS officer had tested positive for the virus in the state a couple of days back.

All the three IPS officers are in home quarantine now.

The gunmen and personal staff of the three IPS officers have also been sent to home quarantine.

Meanwhile, an employee of the DGP's office also tested positive for the virus. This prompted an officer of the Additional DGP cadre to go into home quarantine.

As many as 20 police personnel of the Banjara Hills police station and two police constables of the Sultan Bazar police station tested positive for the coronavirus, raising alarm bells among the police department employees of the capital.

A total of 3,026 positive cases have been reported from the GHMC limits during the last one month.
