Sajjanar Issued Summons In Disha Encounter Case

The Commission constituted by the Supreme Court to inquire into the encounter of the Disha case accused has issued notices to TSRTC MD V C Sajjanar.
Hyderabad | 29th September 2021
The Commission constituted by the Supreme Court of India to inquire into the sensational encounter of the Disha case accused has issued notices to TSRTC MD V C Sajjanar.

It first asked Sajjanar to appear before it on Wednesday. However, the Commission later asked him to appear before it at a later date as the inquiries by NHRC members in the case were not yet over.

The commission has so far spoken to the family members of the victims of the encounter, and the officials who took part in the encounter, among others.

Sajjanar was the Cyberabad Police Commissioner in his last role, and the encounter took place on his watch.

While the vast majority of the people appeared happy with the instant justice delivered, the chickens appear to now be coming home to roost.
