Asaduddin Owaisi Faults Encounter Of Disha Killers

Owaisi opined that the courts and the government should inquire into the encounter, which he said was against the norms of the country's legal system.
Hyderabad | 7th December 2019
MIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi today found fault with the police encounter of Disha's killers.

Reacting to the sensational Hyderabad encounter which is drawing criticism from some groups and which has seen the NHRC take suo motu cognizance, Owaisi opined that the trial court and the government should inquire into the encounter, which he said was against the norms of the country's legal system.

"I oppose these types of personal encounters," he said. "The case should have been resolved by the courts. It is for the courts to take a call, and the police cannot take such a decision to eliminate the four accused."

Meanwhile, the High Court ordered the government to preserve the bodies after the post mortem, for a December 9 hearing.
