Employees working in the administrative offices of the corporation will travel only by TSRTC buses to their place of work and back every Thursday hereon.
With an aim to enhance the quality of its services by taking feedback from the passengers, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has started a new initiative, "Bus Day" on every Thursday.
All the officers and employees working in the administrative offices of the corporation will travel only by TSRTC buses to their place of work and back on every Thursday, as part of the initiative.
As part of that, the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the TSRTC V C Sajjanar boarded a bus at the Telephone Bhavan bus stop today - an ordinary service bus of the Mehidipatnam depot of route no 113 I/M - and alighted at Bus Bhavan near the RTC crossroads.
During his journey, he interacted with the passengers aboard, and took feedback about the cleanliness and upkeep of the buses, and also the cargo services.
He also interacted with the passengers at the Telephone Bhavan bus stop before that, and enquired about the availability of buses, their punctuality, and the behaviour of the crew.
The MD requested everyone to travel in the corporation buses for a safe and hassle-free journey, also pointing out that they were also a cheaper mode of transport.
He added that travelling in TSRTC buses was good for the environment too as there would be lesser pollution.
After alighting, he profusely thanked the TSRTC bus crew for their good driving habits and courteous behaviour towards the commuters.
