TSRTC Asks Conductors To Speak Politely With Passengers
MD Sajjanar said that the passengers had alternative transport options, and the conductors should work to attract customers to the buses of the corporation.
TSRTC Managing Director V C Sajjanar today asked the bus conductors of the corporation to speak politely with the bus passengers.
The conductors and drivers were the brand ambassadors of the corporation, and should discharge their duties carefully at the field level, he said.
Any small mistake committed by them would damage the trust of the people in the corporation, he added, and asked them to work to enhance the TSRTC brand.
Addressing virtually from Bus Bhavan a training program called "TSRTC April Challenge for Training" (TRACTS) held for the conductors from all the bus depots of the State, Sajjanar told the conductors that they should consider the passengers as the centre of their activities. He asked them to greet the passengers with a smile, and not speak with them in a rude manner. He pointed out that the passengers always had alternative transport options, and the conductors should therefore work to attract customers to the buses of the corporation.
He added that the occupancy ratio of the corporation was 69% currently and that a target of 75% had been set, and that it could not be met without the help of the drivers and conductors. He said that the corporation would provide training to all its employees, and that all of them needed to work together to turn the corporation into a profit-making entity.
The conductors told the MD that the training being provided to them was excellent, and that it would help them bring out their inner skills. They also said that they would work hard to achieve the occupancy ratio of 75%.
