TRS Opposes Naidu's Padayatra
T Harish Rao of the TRS heavily criticizes Chandrababu Naidu's padayatra, calling it a political gimmick - meanwhile, 50 TRS workers have been arrested.

Amidst the TRS' vehement opposition to TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu's padayatra in the Telangana region, police arrested 50 TRS workers prior to Friday's Rythu Porubata.
The TRS claims that Naidu has no moral right to undertake this padayatra because he failed to redress farmers' problems while in power.
TRS leader T Harish Rao told reporters, on Wednesday, "Naidu neglected the farming sector while in power and his current attempt to project himself as the champion of farmers' cause is ridiculous."
"The TDP leader who failed to respond to farmers' suicides, and to people sacrificing their lives for the Telangana cause, is now shedding crocodile tears to get political mileage," he added.
"Naidu, who back-stabbed NTR, his father-in-law, to come to power, has no moral right to continue his padayatra in Telangana, and the people of this region will not fall for his cheap gimmicks," he stated.
Meanwhile, the police arrested 50 TRS and political JAC activists, as a precautionary measure, ahead of Naidu's 6 January padayatra.
Protesting the arrests, Kakatiya University Students JAC called for a boycott of classes in the district.
The police deployed additional forces to prevent any untoward incidents. (INN)
