TRS Will Lose Huzurabad Seat: Etala Rajender

BJP leader and former minister Etala Rajender today criticised the TRS for allegedly using "money and muscle power" to try to win the upcoming Huzurabad by-election.

He said, "The fight in Telangana is between the self-respecting and the headstrong. Though there is much opposition to the lop-sided policies being implemented by the TRS regime, the ruling party continues to use money and muscle power to cheat and suppress the people of the state. I would like to tell the TRS that because of its unjust ways, it will lose not only the Huzurabad seat but the next Assembly elections as well."

"The by-election is being fought between people with self-respect and the TRS leadership, which is spending crores to buy a victory or is threatening people to coerce them into supporting its candidate. Despite using money to woo people, the pink party will lose the upcoming electoral battle, Rajender reiterated.

He then predicted that his party, the BJP, would win the Huzurabad seat, and added, "The TRS leadership is trying to lure the leaders and the students in the segment using a host of underhand means. But, the people are with us. They all saw how Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao cheated me and will stand by me."

The leader also flayed the KCR government for the "low representation" of SCs in the state Cabinet, noting that while 17% of Telangana's population, the SCs, had little representation, a community making up 0.5% was "getting many berths" in the Cabinet.

He urged the people of Huzurabad not to believe in the TRS' lies and to extend support to the BJP, now and in the future.
