In an embarassing setback, TRS Huzurabad by-election candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav polled fewer votes in his own village and other TRS strong-holds than the BJP.
Hyderabad | 2nd November 2021
In an embarassing setback, TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav polled fewer votes in his own village and in the village of his wife than the BJP's Eatala Rajender in the by-election.

In his Himmat Nagar village, the TRS candidate got only 358 votes while Rajender polled 549 votes.

The BJP candidate also polled 76 votes more than Yadav in Peddapapiahpalle.

The TRS also lost in several villages like Shalapally where the Dalit Bandhu was started by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Even Venkatravpally, dominated by the Yadav community to which Yadav belongs, also supported Rajender.

The BJP also polled the higher number of votes in the villages of TRS Rajya Sabha MP Captain Lakshmikantha Rao, and of Husnabad MLA Sathish Kumar of the TRS.
