Telangana Rashtra Samithi has annouced that it will stand alone in the forthcoming general elections, and will announce the list of its candidates by the end of this month.
"We will be fighting in the next general elections on our own," party president K Chandrasekhar Rao said after the politburo meeting here on Friday. A committee headed by senior leader Nayani Narsimha Reddy will finalise the list of candidates for the elections, he said.
Announcing the inclusion of A Varada Reddy into the party's polit buro, KCR said that the celebration of 12th anniversary of the party will be held at Armoor on 27 April.
KCR has been saying for some time now that his party won't a part of any pre-poll alliance in the next elections, and has called upon the cadre to work hard to get 100 Assembly and 15 Lok Sabha seats, so they can have a say in the state and at the Centre. (INN)
