The opposition parties have been staging protests and slamming the government for failing to take action against Rao, who is absconding. They alleged that the CM was protecting Rao for being the son of an MLA of his party, and the police have been facing the ire of the Congress, the BJP, the CPI, the CPM and the people for failing to take action against Rao.
The police are looking out for Rao for failing to surrender despite his father's promise.
