TRS Spreading Canards On Palamuru: Revanth Reddy
The AP TDP government, in its letter sent to the Centre, had only wanted DPR provided to the project, and had never asked the Centre to stop the project, he said.

TDP MLA Revanth Reddy today asserted that TRS leaders were spreading false information that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was against the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Project.
Speaking to the media at Kodangal in the Mahabubnagar district, he said that the TDP government, in its letter sent to the Centre, had only wanted DPR provided to the project, and had never asked the Centre to stop the project.
As per the AP Reorganization Act, both states should have DPR if any project was constructed by either of the governments on the Krishna river, he said.
Questioning the bandh call given in the Mahabubnagar district, Revanth Reddy asked what the logic was behind calling for a bandh in the district when the three districts of Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy and Hyderabad would benefit from Palamuru.
The bandh call was given by the TRS only to derive political mileage, and was causing inconvenience to the people, he alleged.
He also wondered about a ruling party calling for a bandh. The TRS often gave calls for bandhs despite being the ruling party, which was condemnable, the TDP legislator said.
Revanth Reddy, who is out on bail in the note-for-vote case, was asked to remain in his constituency by the Hyderabad High Court as part of the conditional bail granted to him. (NSS)
