Telangana Panchayat Raj minister Jupally Krishna Rao today faced a peculiar situation during a function when TDP state working president A Revanth Reddy tried to interrupt his speech in the Mahabubnagar district.
The minister was addressing a gathering after launching the construction of a road near Bogaram village of the Kosgi mandal which was attended by local (Kodangal) TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and others.
Reddy interrupted the address of Krishna Rao when the latter said that the Palamuru lift irrigation project was being opposed by some (referring to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu). At this stage, the TDP workers present in the function raised slogans against the minister. However, the police swung into action and dispersed them.
Condemning the behavior of Revanth Reddy, the minister asked if it was proper for Reddy to snatch his mike. He said that despite the efforts of some people to create problems, the Palamuru project would be completed, and nobody could prevent its progress.
