TRS MLC P Rajeshwar Reddy took objection to the claims made by former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram that the Telangana government failed to keep its promises.
Addressing a press conference at the TRS Legislature Party office, the MLC termed Chidambaram's claim that the State government forgot to implement the schemes including three-acre lands to dalits, double bedroom houses to the poor, 12% reservations to Muslims Minorities, and others, as unfounded and countered that the previous Congress and TDP regimes were the ones that failed to keep their promises.
There was no truth in what the former Union Minister said, he claimed adding that the State's growth rate was evidence for implementation of development projects and welfare schemes. Erravalli and Narsannapet were proof for the free 2BHK-scheme's implementation and effectiveness, Reddy said adding that 2.6 lakh double bedroom houses in the State would be completed by 2018.
He reiterated that the TRS government would give 12% reservations to Muslims and tribals, respectively, in the State.
The Congress was creating roadblocks for all projects that were being taken up by the government, he said.
