Rs 3 Lakh Aid For Unemployed To Turn Self-Employed

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka today announced a new scheme, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam, aimed at assisting the unemployed youth in Telangana.
During a media interaction at the Veera Vanitha Chakali Ilamma Women's University, he said that the scheme, with a budget allocation of Rs 6,000 crore for five lakh unemployed individuals from the SC, ST, BC and minority communities in the State, would support self-employment opportunities, and that a notification regarding the scheme would be be issued on March 15.
Vikramarka said that the government aimed to provide financial aid of Rs 3 lakh to each beneficiary through the scheme, routed through the SC, ST, BC and Minority Corporations.
"Applications for the self-employment scheme must be submitted online by April 5. The review process will take place from April 6 to May 31, during which beneficiaries will be selected. The chosen beneficiaries will receive their sanction letters on June 2, coinciding with Telangana Formation Day," he said.
The Deputy CM added that authorities were formulating appropriate guidelines for selecting beneficiaries, and that comprehensive details of the scheme would be provided in the upcoming notification.
Vikramarka also announced that the State government had earmarked Rs 540 crore for the establishment of the Veera Vanitha Chakali Ilamma University.
"A master plan has been developed to construct state-of-the-art facilities, with the aim of making it a premier university in the country. Plans are also in place to restore the heritage buildings on campus. Additionally, the state government is allocating Rs 15.5 crore for the renovation of heritage structures and Rs 100 crore for the construction of new buildings," he added.
