BJP Telangana in-charge Tarun Chug today alleged that the TRS had registered 25,0000 fake voters in the Munugodu Assembly constituency.
He said that his party had lodged a complaint with the Election Commission on the issue.
Speaking to media persons along with the State party leader N Ramchander Rao, Chug claimed that not more than 2,000 votes had been registered in the by-elections held in the past in the State, and that the huge number of "fake" voters registered in Munugodu ahead of the by-elections was clearly dirty work at play.
He also said that his party had urged the Election Commission to transfer all the officials who had been working for the last four years in the constituency.
He said that his party had received an assurance from the Election Commission that it would order an inquiry into the issue.
He also alleged that all the ministers and TRS MLAs were increasingly in Munugodu now, and that even the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had shifted his office to the constituency, effectively moving the government to the constituency to be able to influence its voters, and that the BJP had brought this to the notice of the EC and urged it to send in observers to Munugodu.
