TRS Refusing To Demand Bifurcation Promises Implementation:
The party alleged a "conspiracy" between the TRS and the BJP government at the Centre that was resulting in the TRS not raising the issue of the promises.
The Telangana TDP today demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao lead a delegation to New Delhi and mount pressure on the union government to fulfill the promises enshrined in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014.
Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan today, party national spokesperson Arvind Kumar Goud accused KCR of not piling on any pressure on the BJP-led NDA government on the serious issue.
The TTDP had sought an appointment with the Governor for July 18, when a memorandum would be submitted to him listing the bifurcation promises, Goud said. The party would also bring to the notice of the Governor the "conspiracy" between the TRS government and the BJP government at the Centre that was resulting in the TRS not raising the issue of the APRA promises, he added.
Telangana TDP general secretary Bandru Shobharani too wondered why the TRS leaders during their visits to New Delhi were not demanding that the Centre implement the promises envisaged in the Reorganization Act. She said that setting up of a steel plant at Bayyaram, a railway coach factory at Kazipet and a horticulture university, and offering of national status to irrigation projects were some of the promises in the Act that would dramatically help the state if they were delivered on.
