TRS President and Telangana's Chief-Minister-in-waiting K Chandrasekhar Rao resigned from the Medak Lok Sabha constituency, on Monday.
KCR, who is at Delhi to attend the swearing ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister, handed over his resignation letter to the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha.
He contested and won from both the Medak Lok Sabha and the Gajwel Assembly constituencies. The resignation was necessitated as he has chosen to be a member of the Telangana Assembly and the first Chief Minister of Telangana.
The TRS chief will be taking oath as the Telangana Chief Minister on June 2. (INN)
