Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today inaugurated the new Integrated District Officers' Complex (IDOC) in Medak.
To mark the occasion, the CM performed special pujas on the premises of the newly constructed collectorate complex and received a guard of honour from the police.
The CM was accompanied by ministers Harish Rao, Mahmood Ali and Vemula Prashanth Reddy, former Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, Women's Commission Chairperson Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, DGP Anjan Kumar Yadav and others.
Later, KCR also inaugurated the SP's office and the BRS district party office in Medak.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that Telangana had achieved tremendous progress in various sectors within a short span of time compared to other States which were formed 60-70 years back, and such States were now being forced to follow the Telangana model of development.
KCR claimed that some States did not have even proper Assembly and Secretariat buildings, but in Telangana 33 districts had been created, and 24 Collectorates and SP buildings had already been completed. He said that the development of the State could be comprehended only by seeing these administrative buildings constructed in all the districts.
He also said that Telangana was also the only State in India that provided clean drinking water to every household.
He alleged that the Telangana region was backward until a decade back only because of the incompetent rulers in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, and that after statehood for the region, today's State was completely different in terms of the development.
