Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy on Tuesday dismissed the reports that claimed that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi was planning to join the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre.
Speaking to media persons, Reddy described all such reports as mere speculations and baseless.
He claimed that the TRS had no plans to join the Narendra Modi-led union government.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had called on the Prime Minister to make representations on issues concerning Telangana, and that no political motives should be attributed to the meeting.
He said that the TRS did not even discuss any proposal to join the NDA government.
Jagadish Reddy said that the Chief Minister had met Modi as the head of the state government, and it should not be linked with politics.
He said that government and politics were different things, and should not be linked. (INN)
