Telangana Congress MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy alleged that many TRS leaders were as dangerous as slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin and did activities similar to his, and demanded that the Telangana government order a CBI inquiry into the slain gangster Nayeemuddin's case as there was no major headway in the case yet.
Speaking to the media today, Reddy said, "The TRS government killed one Nayeem but ended up producing hundred more in their cadre itself."
Claiming that the Special Investigation Team's (SIT's) dealing with Nayeem's case was just an eyewash, he complained that the TRS government was not ready to initiate any action against leaders of his Party who had apparent connections to Nayeem's case.
He demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao explain the whereabouts of Nayeem's 1,000-crore assets, and added that the State government had not yet punished the dreaded mafia kingpin's alibis.
The Congress MLC said that the Congress would launch a large movement soon to force the government into giving justice to Nayeemuddin's victims.
