TRS leader and prominent educator P L Srinivas, one of the party leaders hoping to get the ticket for the upcoming MLC elections in the Mahabubnagar-Hyderabad-Rangareddy graduates' constituency, today appealed to the graduate voters in the area to support the ruling party.
Addressing a campaign aimed at winning over the constituency's graduates, Srinivas urged any voters who supported the TRS to vote for the party and ensure its victory, promising them that the party stood for holistic development.
He also said that the development programs undertaken by the TRS were benefiting the people of the state and added that the fact that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's contribution to the development of Telangana had been immense was an indication of the party's commitment to the people.
"KCR has launched many schemes for the welfare of our people, including the KCR Kit for pregnant women, Kanti Velugu, Mission Bhagirathi and Mission Kakatiya to solve water paucity issues, the Kalyana Lakshmi program, the Asara Pension, 24-hour electricity for farmers, and the 2BHK Housing Scheme for the poor. We will continue to work for the state's development and the welfare of our people. I urge you to support us in the upcoming MLC elections," the leader said.
Srinivas, who had contested in the 2007 MLC elections in the constituency, on a TDP ticket, hopes to receive the TRS ticket to contest for the same post this year. Other frontrunners for the post in the ruling party include former GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, CM’s Secretary and poet Deshapati Srinivas, and former TNGO leader Devi Prasad.
