The TRS Party came under scorn after a case was lodged against Adilabad TRS MLC Fariduddin today for allegedly encroaching several acres of land from a family in Govindpur village.
As per reports, the land belongs to four persons hailing from a lower middle-class family in Govindpur. The four approached a Lokayukta court in the constituency and filed a case against the MLC alleging illegal land acquisition. They also accused him of levelling death threats against them for trying to win back their land.
As per the family, the land was their only source of income and was irrigable. But Fariduddin had driven them away and occupied the land. He also allegedly used his muscle men to scare the family away when they had tried to demand the area back. The MLC claimed that he had acquired the land through legal documentation, the family said.
The involvement of a member of the ruling Party drew several media channels to the Lokayukta court. Upon being questioned by the media, it was revealed that Fariduddin didn't have legal documentation for acquiring the land.
The sort of action that would be taken against the TRS leader remains to be seen.
