Telangana Welfare Minister K Eshwar today launched a new Rythu Vedika at Thirumalapur in Jagtial district.
Speaking on the occasion, Eshwar said that the TRS government had been spending a lot of money to implement various welfare schemes for the benefit of the farmers of the state.
He also said that the government's Rythu Vedikas would usher in a new era of development in the agriculture sector.
"The government has launched the Rythu Vedikas for the benefit of Telangana's farmers. It is a platform through which they can sell their produce at the MSP. It also allows them access to various other markets and important information. The TRS government has also implemented the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima schemes to help the farming community economically. Further, it has improved agricultural infrastructure all over the state," the minister said.
However, he lamented, the people of Telangana remained largely unaware of the government's commitment to the welfare of the people.
"The entire nation is appreciating our welfare schemes. It is unfortunate, however, that the people themselves do not know the value of these schemes," Eshwar said.
