Hyderabad | 15th March 2026
The Congress government, as part of fulfilling the election promises of the Congress, has announced the release of funds under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
The money will be released on March 22.
Narmetta in Siddipet district has been chosen as the venue for the launch ceremony - Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will formally release the first installment of the funds during his visit there. Officials have already completed the necessary arrangements for the event.
As part of the first installment, cash will be deposited into the accounts of around 70 lakh farmers who own agricultural land.
The move comes as a major relief to farmers who have been eagerly awaiting the funds for some time. The release of the funds is expected to provide farmers with financial assistance to meet their cultivation expenses for the Rabi season.
The Congress government had earlier announced that it would implement the Rythu Bharosa scheme, replacing the BRS government's Rythu Bandhu program, by providing enhanced investment support.
