TRS Corporator's Son Arrested For Blackmailing Girls

CCS officers arrested the son of a GHMC corporator belonging to the TRS for allegedly threatening and harassing girls on the social media.

Several girls were stated to have lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime police against Abhishek Goud, son of TRS Corporator of Malkajgiri N Jagdishwar Goud, and two of his friends, stating that the trio were harassing them and blackmailing them on the social media.

These girls are reportedly former schoolmates of the Abhishek Goud. Having come into contact with the accused through Whatsapp and Facebook, the girls were allegedly being forced to meet them, and failing to do which they were threatened that their morphed pictures would be posted on porn sites.

The CCS sleuths who investigated the case nabbed Abhishek Goud on Tuesday midnight. A search is on for the two other accused who are absconding.
