The tensions that have been building up within the TRS have now breached the walls of the party and have reached the CBI office.
It has been reported that ex-TRS member Raghunandan Rao has approached the CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana, with evidence supporting his claims about the corrupt practices of some TRS leaders.
During his meeting with CBI's joint Director, Raghunandan Rao handed over what he claims as being conclusive evidence of his allegations about K Chandrasekhar Rao and T Harish Rao collecting money in the name of the party.
"The CBI official said that he would consult with legal experts and get back to me", Rao told reporters.
He had alleged that T Harish Rao had filed a PIL against Padmalaya Studios (which was involved in an illegal land allottment scheme), but had later settled for a bribe instead, and that K Chandrasekhar Rao was privy to such dealings.
Rao has been raising a lot of sand over his expulsion from TRS as well, and has repeatedly
asked the party leaders to give him a justified reason for his dismissal.
Raghunandan also met the DGP seeking protection as he fears that there is a
threat to his life. (INN)
