Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS government had taken up the Kaleswaram project only to fill the pockets of TRS leaders with commissions. He demanded that the state government seek public opinion on the project.
Speaking at an all-party meeting held under the chairmanship of JAC chairman M Kodandaram at FAPCCI Bhavan on Monday, Reddy alleged that the state government had taken up the Kaleswaram project without considering the public opinion. The project works were going on in violation of the forest and environmental laws, he said.
He also alleged that dalits were facing hardships and being meted out injustice in the TRS regime. He pointed out how
Mahankali Srinivas alleged that he was facing a lot of injustice and had immolated himself in front of the MLA Rasamayi Balakishan's office and died two days ago. In another incident TRS party leader Ayub Khan died by immolating himself in the presence of minister Mahender Reddy alleging that he was facing injustice in the party.
He alleged that the TRS government had showed no empathy for the dalits, minorities and backward classes. He demanded that the government do justice to these people by awakening at least now.
