TRS leader Jupally Krishna Rao on Sunday accepted the challenge thrown by TDP MLA Revanth Reddy for an open debate on the Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
Speaking to media persons, Jupally strongly condemned the allegations levelled against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao by the TDP MLA, and said that the ruling party was ready to face any probe into the issue.
He said that the TDP was deliberately trying to malign the image of KCR on the Metro Rail issue. He also advised Revanth Reddy to avoid using unparliamentary language against the TRS leadership, and asked him to restrict himself to constructive opposition and to focus on the development of the Mahabubnagar district.
The TRS MLA also dismissed the demand of the Leader of the Opposition in the Telangana Assembly K Jana Reddy on convening an all-Party meeting.
Rao said that both the State government and L&T had already clarified that the Raidurg land was already with the Metro Rail authorities. Therefore, there was no need for further clarifications, he stated. (INN)
