Telugu film comedian and former TRS MLA Babu Mohan today joined the BJP in the presence of party national president Amit Shah in New Delhi.
Babu Mohan went to New Delhi along with Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman.
The actor, who essayed mostly comic and villian roles, joined the saffron party as he was displeased after not finding his name in the first list of 105 candidates released by TRS supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He has reportedly been promised the Andole ticket by the BJP.
The first list of TRS candidates was released by the party supremo after the dissolution of the Assembly on September 6. Babu Mohan was representing the Andole Assembly constituency, which was allotted to a journalist Chanti Kranti Kiran. The most likely reason would be that KCR's secret surveys did not show Babu Mohan having a good image in the constituency.
