The pilgrimage city of Trupati has been inundated by the constant lashing of rainfall since yesterday morning, immensely inconveniencing locals and pilgrims alike.
While knee-deep rainwater on nearly all roads is causing problems for commuters, the water is even entering homes, so that people living in ground floors have nowhere to stand or walk.
Those who have travelled all the way to Tirupati hoping to get a darshanam of Lord Venkateswara, at the Tirupati-Tirumala Devasthanam, have not even been able to get out of their homes, what with all routes to the perilous ghaat road leading to the temple being blocked.
