A fun weekend turned out to be fatal for three persons from Telangana.

According to the information received so far, three persons from Telangana met with a watery grave while swimming near the Mona beach in Australia on Monday evening. The victims were identified as M A Junaid (28) and his uncle Ghousuddin (45), both natives of Manyam Chelka area in Nalgonda town, and Rahath (35), who was a resident of the BHEL township on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Authorities recovered the bodies of Ghousuddin and Rahath but the search for the body of Junaid is still going on. Ghousuddin was working as a software engineer in Australia, and Junaid was a post-graduate student of a pharmacy course.

On receiving the sad information, Congress leader and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy informed the victims' family members and consoled them. He demanded that the TRS government take note of the tragedy and make efforts to bring the victims' bodies from Australia at the earliest.
