The Telangana-Samaikyandhra debate is turning out to be a reality show of mind-boggling proportions. And like every self-respecting reality show, this one has enough high drama to lend itself to doubts about its stage-management.
Ministers Parthasarathy and Sabitha Indra Reddy are now pleading with Lagadapati Rajagopal through the media, and are imploring him to come out of wherever he is – they’ve assured the Congress MP that there are no cases against him, and that he can be treated wherever he wants to be treated (read, NIMS).
Now, there are reports that Lagadapati is in Hyderabad and that he may pay a visit to KCR at his residence in Banjara Hills. KCR, in turn, has told media that he would surely meet him and turn him around to the cause of a separate Telangana state. There is now high security around KCR’s home.
The past 14 hours saw no sign of Lagadapati after his escapade from the Vijayawada Government General Hospital, and until a short while ago, officials weren’t even able to trace the location of his cell phone, which was switched off.
