Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, a United Andhra protagonist, said that the Srikrishna Committee Report was impartial and transparent.

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on Thursday hailed the recommendations and options offered by the Justice B N Srikrishna Commission in its report.

Talking to media persons, the MP, who spearheaded the United Andhra Pradesh movement after the famous statement by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on December 9, 2009, stated that the commission had given an impartial and bold report on the situation in the state.

"The recommendations in the commission's report are impartial and transparent. The report also pointed out ground realities where the state was lagging behind in development, and how it contributed for the separate statehood agitation," he said.

Hailing the committee recommendations, Rajagopal said the committee laid stress on the unification of state and their benefits.

The commission's report had tried to remove the sorrows of all Telugu people, and had stressed on the emotional attachment of Seemandhra people with Telangana region, the MP said.

The United Andhra protagonist said the commission rightly stressed on the importance of establishing Regional Boards to redress disparities, and developing areas based on the available resources.

It reminds me the speeches of Sri Brahmanand Reddy, Former Chief Minister on Telangana agitation dated back to 1971 where he spoke regarding split of Andhra Pradesh (Telangana & Andhra) is like separating a child from the mother.

Let’s live together as correctly studied and stressed the sentiments of people of A.P. by the Srikrishna Committee. Socio-economic development of Telangana, Rayalaseema / Andhra (priority areas) and formation of Regional Committees to redress disparities should be given more importance thus creating basic availability of health care / education / jobs / infrastructures.

Leaders when speaks about our own people should be honest & selfless and must take everybody together for the betterment of people's welfare / state / country.
