Nearly 50% of candidates have qualified for the 2nd Teachers Eligibility Test conducted by the School Education Department on 8 January.
About 48% of 54,488 candidates who appeared for Paper-I of TET qualified.
Nearly 57% of candidates in Paper-II (Maths & Science) qualified, while the pass percentage of Paper-II (Social Studies) was 45%.
Talking to media after releasing the results at the state Secretariat in Hyderabad on Monday, Secondary Education Minister K Parathasarathy said that the government had constituted an expert committee, following complaints that the examination papers were tough.
Based on the committee's recommendation, the government awarded grace marks to candidates, in all the 3 papers.
While 4 grace marks have been given for Paper-I, 10 and 8 grace marks have been added to Paper-II (Maths and Science) and Paper-II (Social Studies), respectively.
