Tenders In 2 Weeks for Palamur, Penganga Projects

Tenders for the Palamur lift irrigation scheme and the Penganga project should be completed in two weeks, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao directed the officials concerned.

Speaking at a high-level review meeting on irrigation projects with Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and officials, KCR asked them to call for tenders for the Dindi project, too, for speedy completion of works.

Every month, the State government would release Rs 2,083 crores in the budget for the completion of the projects, he said.

He also directed the empowerment of the officials at the levels of the chief engineer and superintending engineer to take speedy decisions.

The Chief Minister also said that he would soon participate in the foundation-stone-laying for the Kaleshwaram project near Medigadda. The Kaleshwaram project should be providing waters to Ellampally by June, he said.

He also asked the officials to prepare plans of action to complete projects to be built on the Krishna and Godavari rivers.
