Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Thursday said that the Centre would create the Telangana state as early as possible.
Addressing a press conference after a monthly review of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Shinde said that the Centre wants to hasten the process of Telangana formation and that is one of the reasons why the time-limit of 6 weeks has been done away with, to facilitate the Group of Ministers to submit its report at the earliest. He also assured that the Telangana resolution would be sent to the state Assembly as soon as possible.
Shinde informed that the GoM on Telangana would hold its first meeting on Friday. However, when asked by the reporters, he didn't specify whether the Telangana bill would be introduced in the winter session of the Parliament.
The Home Minister also assured that justice would be done to all the people of Andhra Pradesh by taking the concerns raised by different stakeholders, into consideration.
Shinde informed that the GoM would submit a note on Telangana to the Union Cabinet which would then be sent to the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee. (INN)
