Congress MPs from the Telangana region held a meeting at the residence of Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, in Delhi, on Tuesday.
The meeting was reportedly chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha.
The MPs who participated in the meeting include Anand Bhaskar, Ponnam Prabhakar, Madhu Yaskhi Goud and P Govardhan Reddy. According to sources, six MLAs and MLCs, including Yadav Reddy, also participated in the meeting.
Surprisingly, Peddapalli MP Dr. G Vivek, who had recently quit the Congress to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, was also part of the meeting. His presence led to speculations that he might re-join the Congress. However, Vivek, who met Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde after the meeting, denied all such reports, and said that he would stay with the TRS. (INN)
