The AP Bhavan at Ashoka Road became the epicenter of politics with the leaders from all three regions holding meetings throughout the day, and voicing opinions both in favour, and against formation of Telangana State.
Seemandhra ministers, who arrived at the national capital on Thursday night, held a meeting with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at AP Bhavan on Friday. As many as 9 ministers from Seemandhra region took part in the meeting. They insisted that the Chief Minister prevail upon the Centre to keep the state united. Those present in the meeting include Anam Narayan Reddy, T G Venkatesh, Erasu Pratap Reddy and S Sailajanath.
Similarly, the Telangana leaders, led by Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, also held several rounds of discussions with the MPs and other leaders. The political action at AP Bhavan is likely to continue till the Congress Working Committee takes a final decision on the statehood issue. (INN)
