The Congress Working Committee appears to have decided to discuss and finalise the decision on the Telangana statehood issue during its next meeting. The meeting is likely to be held in the national capital on July 28.
According to sources, the Congress High Command has asked Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana and Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha to keep themselves free for the next three days, and to be prepared to proceed to New Delhi, whenever they are summoned.
Since Rajanarasimha is already in Delhi, Kiran and Botsa are most likely to be called to New Delhi on Friday.
Sources say that the CWC will take a decision on the statehood issue, although the committee may take a few weeks time to announce it officially. (INN)
