The state government plans to start releasing the Rythu Bandhu amount to the farmers for the Yasangi (Rabi) season, according to reports.
This time around Rs 7,500 crore will be deposited into the accounts of the farmers of the state, it is being said.
While the government spent Rs 7,300 crore the last time for the purpose, this time the amount is to rise by about Rs 200 crore, according to sources.
About 63 lakh farmers will benefit through this scheme.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has directed the officials concerned to deposit the amounts into the bank accounts of the farmers. As a result, the finance wing officials are getting ready with the data of the farmers including their bank accounts.
It is likely that the farmers may get the financial assistance in a week to 10 days, according to reports. Farmers with 1-2 acres will get the amount first, and the rest will get it later in a phased manner, it is being said.
The scheme aims to push the farmers to go in for agricultural activities without worrying about loan issues.
