BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao today once again questioned CM Revanth Reddy on the issue of Rythu Bandhu assistance.
"Will farmers be given the Rythu Bandhu funds at the time of sowing or will the funds be given at the time of harvest or weighing of the grain?" he asked sarcastically.
Participating in a BRS public meeting held at Veenavanka in Karimnagar district, KCR said that Telangana State was again in shambles, and that several industrial units were leaving the State.
"We worked quite hard at the national and international levels to raise the profile of the State. Telangana was receiving huge investments in the IT and industries sectors. We used to get such huge investments that PM Narendra Modi himself was jealous of the State. Today, a company with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore has gone to Tamil Nadu. Today, the government is cutting power to the aluminium and plastic industries for five to six times a day. Today, there is a drinking water shortage," he alleged.
It was therefore still up to the BRS to protect the interests of the State, he said.
"The Telangana movement is not over. There is still a lot to be done. The process of rebuilding Telangana needs to be at the forefront for us. Our responsibility is not over. Within just four to five months the current government has received so much opposition from the people. It's not even a government. I'm telling you 100% - have faith in my word. Whenever the Assembly elections are held again, even if there are mid-term elections, it is the BRS which will come to power. No one has any doubt about it. It will come back 100%. There is still a lot of good that needs to happen to the State," he said.
Referring to an alleged statement of PM Narendra Modi that he would take the waters of the State to the neighbouring States, KCR asked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy why he was not questioning the PM on the issue. He also asked Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay what he had done for the development of Karimnagar.
He said that the people should give a befitting reply to the BJP and the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to protect the State, and urged the people to ensure the victory of the BRS candidates by huge majorities.
