Three Officials Trapped By ACB While Taking Bribe
Officers of the Anti-Corruption Bureau trapped a Tahsildar Kethavath Nagamani among others for accepting a Rs 75,000 bribe for doing an official favour.
Officers of the Anti-Corruption Bureau this afternoon trapped three officials while they were demanding and accepting a Rs 75,000 bribe for doing an official favour for a complainant.
The principal accused Kethavath Nagamani, Tahsildar & Joint Sub-Registrar of Charakonda mandal, Nagarkurnool District; and Padisimi Raju, Dharani operator in the office of the former; were caught when they demanded Rs 1,00,000 and accepted Rs 75,000 through a Gyara Venkataiah from the complainant Talla Ravinder, a field executive in Mathrubhoomi developers, to do the latter an official favour i. e. handing over four registered sale deed documents pertaining to the proprietor of Mathrubhoomi developers.
The tainted money was recovered from the possession of Venkataiah.
The three accused - Nagamani, Raju and Venkataiah - were arrested and produced before the court of the Additional Special Judge I for SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally.
The ACB authorities appealed to the people to call 1064 if they faced a demand for a bribe by any public servant.
