Telangana TDP official spokesperson Nannuri Narsireddy took objection to the statement of Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari who had said that the vacant government jobs would be filled up in the next nine months.
The TDP leader said that Srihari had made the statement keeping in mind the elections which are to be held in 2019.
"He is trying to mislead the people again as the general elections are to be held in another one and half year," Narsireddy alleged.
Taking a dig at Kadiam, the TDP leader alleged that the former had made announcements on conducting the DSCs about 30 times. Why had none of those announcements been implemented, he asked.
The government had failed to collect information of vacant posts from different departments in three and half years - how then could it collect the same in one and a half years, he sought to know.
If the government tried to mislead the people further, they would teach a lesson to the TRS in the next elections, he said.
Earlier, Kadiam, who is also in-charge of the education portfolio, said that the government would shortly fill up all the vacant teacher posts in the state.
