DSC Notification For Filling 8792 Posts In 15 Days

There's good news for trainee Telangana teachers awaiting a DSC notification - a teachers' recruitment DSC notification (DSC is short for District Selection Committee, an entrance examination by the state governments in India for recruitment of teachers) will be announced in two weeks, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, who holds Education portfolio, said today.

Addressing the media at Secretariat on Wednesday, Srihari disclosed that the Telangana State Public Service Commission will conduct the examinations for District Selection Committee for recruiting the teachers.

The TSPSC was asked to prepare for a drive to recruit 8,792 teachers, he said.

Srihari stated that there were some three lakh qualified trainee candidates for the teachers' posts.

This year there would be no TET for the recruitment of teachers, he said. However, there is a sort of bad news for teachers as there is no chance of any transfers this academic year.

Peddapalli MP Balka Suman said that along with the mega DSC notification, another notification for recruitment of junior and college lecturers would also be issued. He also disclosed that the state government had decided to relax the eligibility norms for the appointment of Physical Education Teachers in the residential schools.

The state government would soon also file an SLP in the Supreme Court on the issue of regularization of the services of contract employees, he said.
